Nordvik came to us in September with a problem most logistics providers would decline: their incumbent had failed, peak season had already started, and 240 containers were in motion with no clear plan for what happened when they landed.
We took the inbound in two phases. Containers already on the water were re-routed to our port-centric site so they could be devanned and cross-docked without a second road leg. Everything not yet loaded was re-booked onto services with better schedule integrity, even where that meant a marginally higher rate.
The result was 11 days out of the door-to-door lead time and on-shelf availability of 98.6% through the peak — Nordvik’s best figure in three years.
